Overview

Major Functions:

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Meat Category Manager in achieving sales, profit, and customer satisfaction objectives. The role involves implementing sales strategies, cultivating customer relationships, and promoting growth within the category.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Actively promote and sell meat products to both current and prospective customers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.

Develop strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and delivering excellent service.

Assist customers in selecting the right meat products, providing product knowledge, and addressing inquiries or concerns.

Work closely with the Meat Category Manager to implement sales and promotional strategies.

Execute product mix and pricing strategies as defined by the Meat Category Manager.

Monitor competitor activities and provide feedback to improve category positioning.

Provide merchandising support by executing sales plans, setting up and maintaining visually appealing displays, and enhancing the customer shopping experience. Assist with sales support and promotional execution.

Attend training sessions to remain knowledgeable about the features, benefits, and proper handling of meat products.

Educate customers and other team members on meat products, their uses, and market trends.

Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels by providing input on stock replenishment based on sales trends and customer needs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus).

Must have proven experience in meat sales or food industry, with knowledge of Hispanic market preferences.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Basic understanding of inventory management, merchandising standards, and product handling.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
