Summer Internship - Supply Chain Distribution Operations

Support warehouse operations by enhancing leadership tools and driving improvements in safety, quality, engagement, training, and performance.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Gain a foundational understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
• Work closely with warehouse supervisors and managers to document and improve current performance tracking methods.
• Assist in analyzing key operational metrics such as productivity, safety, and quality.
• Help streamline and standardize reporting processes across various warehouse functions.
• Contribute to the development of training materials that support data-driven decision-making among warehouse leadership.
• Analyze warehouse data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Other tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in supply chain management, warehouse operations, or logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team-oriented environment.

Skills Intern Will Learn:

• In-depth understanding of warehouse operations and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Experience in analyzing and reporting on warehouse operational performance.
• Insights into operational leadership and performance management.
